For the Elevation to the Order of the Laurel of Baroness Roana Aldinoch, OP
A few years ago I made a Cap of Maintenance for Roana Aldinoch's elevation to the Order of the Pelican. I had never made a hat before, and I assumed that it would be a symbolic part of the ceremony that would just be put away somewhere afterwards. Instead, it moved across the country twice, was worn at more than a few events, and was loved on by an excitable puppy. Thus, it was little worse for wear.
Therefore, for Roana’s elevation to the Order of the Laurel, I remade the Cap of Maintenance with more durable materials and embroidered it with a Laurel wreath. This site documents the process I followed.
